Dilworth App

Dear Parents and Guardians

This year Dilworth School is launching a new initiative to improve communication with parents and guardians.  From Monday 29th February you will be able to use the Dilworth Mobile App.

Mobile App

A Free Mobile App has been developed for Dilworth School and is now available to download for any user of an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet.
You can download the App by searching for Dilworth School in your Apple or Android App store. Or go to http://is.gd/U4AuDn and follow the prompts.

Apart from giving easy access to current information about Dilworth School, the App has the facility to allow us to send ‘Push Notifications’ to anyone who has downloaded the App.  We will use this facility to send out information and reminders about important events. We will also be able to quickly notify users of the App should there be cancellations, changes to times or even important information in the unlikely case of an emergency event.

All the information available on the App will still be available on the School website and through our regular email and paper correspondence. The App however provides a readily accessible alternative for anyone with an Apple or Android device. It is also the only way of sending out instant notifications.

We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this App if you have an appropriate device.

Yours sincerely

Chapel this Sunday

Hi there,

Our first Sunday chapel service is coming up this Sunday on the 21st. This means check in for the boys is between 6-6.30pm at the latest.

What to do:

Boys check in as usual and put their gear on the their desk while you wait in the foyer.
Go to the hall which will be set up for chapel
We sit in Houses, so Cotter House's group of chairs is the group second from the right as you walk in.
Try and fill up each row, no gaps. It's usually a full house.
Feel free to talk quietly with your boy.
Please, no hats.
When the music starts, thats the time to stop talking.
Enjoy the service. It lasts for about twenty minutes.

After the service:

Say your goodbyes outside the hall.
Only the boys return to the house and will be getting changed for bed.
If you need to speak to a staff member please do say at check in between 6-630pm.

Good to know:

There is a small box of toys in the foyer if you have a small child who is needing a distraction.
It will be uncomfortably hot. Dress for the heat.
Some people dress up, others do not. What's important is that you're there.
You sent your boy to a Christian school for a reason. Please support your boy and the school by attending every chapel service. This is an expectation the school has.
Use the staff toilets on the left through the double doors if you need to.
Allow time to park and walk to school.
