Cotter House Chapel 2018

Hello All,

This Sunday 18th March we have our BBQ and chapel service. It is an opportunity to strengthen ourselves as a community as we come together to share food and worship together.

The BBQ begins at 5pm and we ask that you bring a some food to share. This might be a dessert, a salad or a cooked main. If you bring 2 people, bring enough food for 2. If you bring 10 people, then please bring enough for 10. We will provide drinks and be cooking about 100 sausages.

The Year 8 boys will be leading the service and we've all been practising for this Sunday.

This is a great opportunity to get to know one another and forge new friendships. As parents/ guardians you are going to be bumping into one another for years to come. Find out who lives nearby so you can ride-share. This could make life a lot easier for you, especially when the boys are at the Rural Campus in Mangatawhiri.

See you then.

Year 12 Helpers in Cotter

We are fortunate to have two Yr 12 boys come to the House to help, encourage and get to know their 'little brothers'. Both are exceptional your men and the Cotter Boys were full of questions and engaged fully. They will both come regularly this term. We look forward to Sione bringing his trumpet, to show the boys what hard work and making the most of opportunities can result in.

One of the ways we encourage positive behaviours and attitude is to reward the boys with points. This is done digitally using a system called Liveschool. The boys can earn and lose points for a variety of things. It is similar to a bank account and they are able to redeem their points for a variety of perks and rewards.

Andrew saved up his points so he could be Housemaster for the day. A role he enjoyed (especially the pizza).
